1970 – 1980
Founded 1971 on 12 sqm, Malkan Machinery is based on the apprenticeship and training of Mustafa Alkan, the owner, as a lathe man in the 60’s.By the foundation of Malkan up until this year a home made alternative of industrial steam irons is produced for the very first time as opposed to imported ones from Europe.In 10 years since its foundation, fast growing Malkan expands from a workshop of 12 sqm to production facility of 400 sqm by the end of the 70’s.

1980 – 1990
Mustafa Alkan, having worked alone during the first years he has established Malkan, now serves the Turkish industry along with 17 employees.Manufacturing only a limited line of machinery for the first years, Malkan starts to produce industrial ironing presses for clothing industry in the 80’s.That enables to keep in Turkey a large amount of foreign currency used for imports.The products line is over 30, by mid-80’s, To be able to meet the fast growing demand Malkan machinery moves the production unit to the factory of 6000 sqm closed area.Using the latest manufacturing tecnology of time, Malkan increases the products line up to 160.

1990 – 2000
Having completed the establishment and the development period, Malkan continues to pioneer novelties in the sector. In 1991, for the very first time, a Turkish pressing machinery manufacturer exhibits products in a trade show abroad.Promoting its products to the world by participating in trade shows, Malkan well uses the opportunities held in these trade shows, increases its products’ quality and reaches international marketing techniques.In a short period of time, Malkan becomes well known in the world and increases its exports.During this period, to be able to provide its local customers with faster and better quality service, Malkan expands its sales, distribution and after sale service network throughout country.

2000 – 2010
Due to its well established structure and capital, Malkan is almost not affected by the economic crises which badly shook Turkey by the end of the 90’s and early 2000’s. On the contrary, it improves its production technology, constantly increases its employment and exports and starts to invest more on the quality. Manufacturing and providing customer services approved by TSE (Turkish Standards Institute) so far, Malkan undertakes a radical reorganization and adapts ISO-9000 International Quality System. Malkan provides automation and standardization in production with the latest technology laser cutting press and computerized fully automatic bending machines imported from Germany. In addition to the factory of 6000 sqm where German TÜV approoved production according to CE European standards is held, the showroom of 3600 sqm is put into service. In these years, paying big attention in developing Jacket & Trouser Special Presses and serving Turn-Key projects for World-Famous brands’ new production plants and investments, both in Turkey and abroad, Malkan has started to make its Brand-Name known World-Wide.

2010 – 2020
Today, over 30.000 customers, 135 expert-engineer and technical staff, providing job opportunities for 800 employees in sub-industry, near 50 represantatives in Turkey and over 40 in foreign countries, 100.000 products running in 84 countries on 5 continents, are the numbers that present Malkan as a successful represantative of homeland Turkey. Especially showing up in the competition with European brands by low-price & high quality employee power advantage and first quality raw-metarial principle in all conditions, Malkan continuously enlarges its market-share domestically and abroad. Malkan is planning to increasingly continue its investments for more quality products and technology in the next-coming term. By this policies , Malkan has aimed to celebrate its 50. foundation anniversary as being the biggest proud of Turkey in Ironing Machinery Manufacturing Industry.
